
Senior PR Officer
Location: Hybrid/homebased with 1 day in Leicester office per month
Salary: £31,573 to £33,235

About the Role
The Senior PR Officer will be responsible for delivering targeted, impactful media coverage that highlights the work of the Association, increases understanding and awareness of its activities, and grows and protects its reputation. The SPO will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong network of contacts within the media, delivering effective PR activity that aligns with strategic priorities whilst also contributing to the running of an effective press office. This is a lovely role where you will be building relationships with journalists and landing media coverage. You'll be reporting into a brilliant Corporate Communications Manager, and also get the opportunity to line manage.
About You
Experience in PR/journalism is an essential. You'll have a thorough knowledge of media law, other applicable legislation and ethical codes of practice. With a proven track record of gaining coverage (National or regional) you'll have the ability to impart key messages clearly, concisely and convincingly. Experience of acting as a spokesperson is highly desirable. This is a lovely role which requires a creative individual (experience of taking high quality photographs along with filming and editing video content would be brilliant too)
